Advanced Search Options

The Advanced Search Options form is designed for use by GIS professionals who wish to specify exact search criteria for searching the GeoEye Image Catalog, and receive results back in an industry standard format (including a link to the Online Maps Application). Additional functionality has been added to this section to provide users with file uploading capabilities (i.e. ESRI® shapefiles or Google Earth™ KML and KMZ files) that automatically specify the geometry of a specific Area of Interest (AOI).

Specify a Search Geometry

To begin, please specify a geometry by one of the following. Use the following tools provided on each page to input coordinates in Decimal Degrees (DD) or Degrees Minutes Seconds (DMS) format. All coordinates must be in Geographic WGS84 spatial reference system. to input coordinates. If you have coordinates in a different format, please see help documentation for assistance.

By Buffered Point Coordinate By Bounding Box Coordinates By a Point Coordinate List By a Polygon Coordinate List

Valid coordinates (in decimal degrees or degrees/minutes/seconds) are required.

One coordinate pair (longitude, latitude) per line seperated by a comma.

Example:

-77.3547,39.0395
-104.9507,39.9203

Note: Do not allow any extra line breaks after the final coordinate pair entry or the application will not query the catalog.
